“In recent years, our profession has seen remarkable acceleration, manifesting as a frenzied race towards the highest technological bidder, sometimes to the detriment of the best treatment. Today, we are offered:

• Instruments and software to replace neurons and synapses, more or less successfully (SMART),
• Computer simulations, facilitating increasingly complex implants (DIGITAL),
• Higher performance materials for our profession (DENTISTRY).

The real question is to find out whether this inevitable move towards digital equipment really improves treatments, leads to true therapeutic benefits for patients and, particularly, increases the durability of prosthetic restoration and implant surgeries?

To answer these questions, we turned to brilliant speakers, clinicians and researchers from various backgrounds and cultures, and with different training experiences. A single, essential imperative: to provide complete, sincere and objective clarity on what digital equipment does and does not allow us to do. Our ambition is that, after these two days, each clinician will leave with a professional desire to forget the past, to live better in the present moment and, above all, to prepare for the future.”
